The Sekhmet Anomalies

The Sekhmet ‘Energy Streams’

&

‘Orbs’

Brief Historical Background of Sekhmet.

In Egyptian mythology Sekhmet was originally the warrior goddess, as well as a goddess of healing for Upper Egypt. She is depicted as a lioness, the fiercest hunter know to the ancient Egyptians. It was said that her breath created the desert. She was seen as the protector of the Pharaohs and led them in warfare. Her main cult centre was in Memphis.

John D Riley’s Testimony.

“Amazing confirmation that took place during the most intense Journey of my life…”

“Many have been asking so here is a response I posted to someone explaining the event: “Hours before this encounter a fellow traveller came to me and we had an interesting conversation. This was his second time in Egypt and the second time we travelled together. He was commenting on how others were getting interesting pics in the temples and how in the two years he has never even got a single orb. He had the same camera as last year and I looked at him and noticed he was in a very negative space. After a conversation he felt lighter and I wished him that something that he could not explain would happen to him on this journey. Hours later after we left the temple he came up to me with a very puzzled look on his face. He asked if he could show me something and I said yes. He told me he was watching sekhmet prayerme in the other chamber when I activated the energy device and decided to go into the Sekhmet chamber to take pictures and he then showed me these photo’s; I looked in awe and asked him repeatedly if these were taken during the activation of the device and he said yes, yes, yes! I saw the photo’s minutes after while we were walking through the temple and I will guarantee you they are untouched and genuine. Needless to say my friend was shifted greatly after this experience and had an expansive trip beyond anything he could have imagined. What allowed this to happen is he allowed a 1 percent possibility that there are great mysteries that are happening and all we have to do is allow ourselves to shift just a fraction to open this up to us. I was so grateful for this event and my friend allowed me to transfer these photos and use them. There 30 others that will attest to this experience as they all saw the pics on the bus as we drove back to the hotel. What I do I do as a gift to others. You are invited anytime to visit my research facilities in Santa Monica. Actually my good friend Greg Roach posted a similar comment 4 years ago about one of my videos thinking it was done in post. I invited him to experience and since then we have had 3 amazing trips to Egypt together. Sometimes you never know what lies ahead. All we have to do is allow possibilities…1 percent!

BEACON

The technology I was guided to bring is of ancient understanding. It is called “The Beacon” a Zero Point (Unified) energy field I was guided to return to this planet as a life agreement. I have been in honor and humility as I travel the globe to sacred sites as the activations slowly return the knowledge of what we really are.”

Sekhmet  Images & John’s Attendant Notes.

After arriving to the temple after the most intense Mystery School Journey I was guided to activate the Zero Point Field to stabilise the grid energy. After confirmation I transcended into another realm and before me a portal opened up and 3 guardians appeared. They each reached down and placed Mana containers in my hands and offered me to absorb them into me. That night I went before the 3 guardians again …

Analysis of Above Image.

What causes the variation in light colour in the above image is the two different materials from which the light is reflected. Note how the reflected light from the hand has a flesh tone to it. I conducted a simple experiment to test this hypothesis. I stood a red-jacketed book on a sheet of A4 paper and shone a small torch at it from an angle. The reflected beam onto the paper took on the same colour as the book face I did the same with green and yellow jacketed books and the same thing occurred.

A further question arises: What is the source of the light? The image below of an adjacent chamber perhaps gives us a clue. However, as we can clearly see in the above image the light source appears to be directly overhead and not coming from the rear wall.

One of the members of the group, William Henry (leader of the tour), contacted me regarding this. What he had to say more or less confirmed my suspicion.

Response from William Henry

concerning my query as to

the lighting in Sekhmet’s

chamber.

Hi David,

I can’t recall exact details about the light source in the Sekhmet chapel. It seems to me that the chamber is not lit. When the door is closed there is total darkness, except for a possible skylight…sekhmet streamers1

By now you will have naturally asked yourselves why the light appears ribbon-like and wavy. Surely, it would be a straight, solid column?

 The Ribbon-Like Appearance:

I suspect the skylight is not a simple opening, as shown in the Chamber Light Source Image above, but is probably a grid of some description. Light passing through such a grid would naturally appear as separate columns or ribbons.

The Waveform Pattern Light Trail:

Though there are no EXIF details accompanying Sekhment images, one can see that a flash was used by the way the shadows closely surround objects in the foreground – not to mention the presence of orbs! If the photo had a long exposure, combined with flash (like in ‘night mode’), then a light source just outside the frame could definitely show up as a trail like this. the fact that the light reaches the edge of the image frame suggests this is the case. Clearly, the statue itself is not the light source. The fact that the trails are not parallel suggests that the camera moved in  a relatively complicated way after the flash went off. Usually you see a fairly straightforward light trail indicating that the photographer simply lowered the camera in a straight line, wrongly believing the shutter to be closed.

The motion blur in the below image is irrefutable confirmation of the camera being moved whilst the shutter was still open.

Summary

To the uninitiated these photographs look very impressive. The location itself evokes in the human psyche an air of mystery and wonder. Our expectations and mindsets further colour whatever interpretations we place on such apparent anomalies. In learning how to interpret such imagery one has to put aside their personal expectations and beliefs and approach it with an unbiased mind. This, I hope, I have done to the best of my ability.

The science of photographic analysis, like so many other scientific disciplines, requires that all theories and findings need to be replicated before they are accepted. To this end, I enlisted the aid of the Association for the Scientific Study of Anomalous Phenomena (ASSAP). Their independent analysis corroborated my initial suspicions that the anomalies in this case have a mundane explanation. Orbs and light streaks are relatively common occurrences in photographs and share certain identifiable characteristics, as in this case. For example; of all the orbs in these images not one is partially occluded by an individual or object, as is possible with a genuine subtle ‘energy plasma’ sphere. In such a confined chamber filled with people one would expect it to happen. This, along with their internal structure patterns, led me to conclude that they are dust particles captured within the camera’s field of view and illuminated by the flash.

There is also further evidence in these images supporting the theory that the sun is the lights source. The angle of incidence (the arrival of a beam of light or particles at a surface) changes slightly on the statue suggesting the light source is moving. Without EXIF details this is difficult to prove, however.

Conclusion:  Camera artefacts.

Mind Over Matter

David Calvert.

A Brief History.

edinburgh_st_andrews_1St. Andrew’s and St. George’s Church, Scotland, was the setting, in 1843, for one of the most significant events in 19th-century Scotland – the ‘Disruption’.  Fuelled by increasing concern and resentment about the Civil Courts’ infringements on the liberties of the Church of Scotland, around one third of he Ministers present at the annual General Assembly walked out, cheered by onlookers outside, and constituted the Free Church of Scotland. (Wiki).

Gill Finlayson’s (edited) post to Ghosts, Hauntings and the Paranormal Group.

‘Just wanted an opinion or two on this photograph which was taken in St. Andew’s & St. George’s Church, George Street, Edinburgh – a beautiful Georgian church with a pervasive atmosphere of chaos.

I am rather keen about taking pics of doors so, seeing this open box pew, I snapped a photo with a regular Nikon Coolpix digital camera. Obviously, the automatic flash activated.  I was wearing a coat without cuffs, and was gloveless.’

Image Analysis.

church orbs

Red arrow notations read:

‘This brightly lit amorphous blob may be the result of a cluster of dust particles being in extreme proximity to the flash when it was triggered. The resultant reflection would therefore be very much brighter, ‘washing out their circular appearance, making it appear as a single form due to the albedo effect.’

“Albedo effect”

The fraction of incident electromagnetic radiation reflected by a surface.

Triple line text reads:

‘Small dust particles near to the lens, showing up as individual blurred circles. Probable cause of dust is the carpet.’

dust orbs

Dust orbs are relatively common features in images and are often mistaken as balls of light or some other paranormal phenomenon such as ghosts and UFOs. If one looks closely at the fainter images in the above selection you can make out internal features to some of them. But why do they always appear to be circular? The reason for this is down to the camera.

In optics, a circle of confusion is an optical spot caused by a cone of light rays from a lens not coming to a perfect focus when imaging a point source. It is also known as disk of confusion, circle of indistinctness, blur circle, or blur spot.

Defocused object points are imaged as blur spots rather than points; the greater the distance an object is from the plane of focus, the greater the size of the blur spot. Such a blur spot has the same shape as the lens aperture, but for simplicity, is usually treated as if it were circular. The circles seen in Gill’s photo fit the criteria for dust particles.

Conclusion: Camera artefacts.

Whilst my interpretation would stand up to the rigours of scientific scrutiny, this is not the last word on this subject. Karen Han of Ghosts, Hauntings, and the Paranormal came up with an elegant summary, managing to create an harmonious relationship between science, psychology, and spirituality. Here are her thoughts on the matter:

‘I tend to take a more ‘Jungian’ perspective, and I think it is related to the Collective Unconsciousness. ” Apparitions/visions” are produced by the psyche or subconscious; that is, they can’t announce their presence unless they “manifest” in the physical realm through visual symbols in our environment, with the aid of suggestion, or in your [Gill’s] case, through “Tribal Memory”. The dust particles (manifesting as orbs), in a sense, are helping to make the presence of your ancestors known; that is, it doesn’t negate the fact that this was a significant personal experience a journey to find the soul, so to speak.’

Charles Finlayson, Gill’s grandfather, was married in the 1850s in the very same church where the photo was taken, hence the Jungian ‘Tribal Memory’ allusion  made by Karen.

Ascension

Ascension

David Calvert

ascension 1

The bracing cold barely phased the revellers as they made their way to the town center. Unseen, a solitary figure walked among them as they hurried towards their meeting point in the town square, a distant choir of angelic voices beckoning them on. Sensing their excitement and common purpose, the unsettled phantom followed. How often she had witnessed the scene: the enactment of their hopes and dreams for the year to come, a dream she was no longer a part of. A welcoming touch, a word of kindness, the hopes of a better tomorrow, all the things that gave purpose and meaning to life, were now denied her. Stripped of memory or hope her unhappy  soul wandered through the crowd.

In the early days of her passing she had wished for a sign, anything that might trigger her memory as to how she had become trapped in a world between worlds. There had been no heavenly light at the end of a tunnel, nor loved ones to welcome her into the Kingdom. She knew only the lonely and cold embrace of purgatory.

Stripped of name and countenance – for ghosts she soon learned cast no reflection – she lived her life vicariously, choosing at random any group or individual who offered some kind of temporary solace from her sombre thoughts. She had witnessed the joys and loves of countless families and individuals. Inevitably, such experiences were bittersweet and served only to bring home to her how utterly alone she was. Of her many hauntings one family in particular stuck out: the young Lawrence couple and their only child, James. It was her meeting with James that made the encounter all the more memorable. She could still vividly recall her meeting with the seven-year-old on that snowy Christmas Day morning so long ago.

ascension2

Again, it was a single random act of curiosity that had drawn her to the Lawrence household. On entering she was immediately struck at how different it was to the others in the street. Clearly, this was the home of a less affluent family. In the corner of the room stood a Spartan Christmas tree, its drooping branches lacking little in the way of decoration, other than homemade baubles and wraps of tinsel. She stooped to read the labels on the four lovingly wrapped presents at the base of the tree. They were all addressed with the same name: ‘James’. Saddened by the scarcity of gifts, she rose to her feet and made to leave when the sound of movement in the darkness caught her attention.

As she stood by the window a small hand, holding a brightly lit torch, appeared from behind a slowly opening door. Then a head appeared, followed quickly by the body of a small child clad in pyjamas and dressing gown. This, she surmised, was the recipient of the gifts that lay beneath the tree. He crept stealthily into the room on slippered feet and closed the door behind him.

She smiled as he hurriedly tiptoed to the tree, his face beaming with anticipation. Scanning the presents with his torch he began jumping up and down with glee.

“Yes! Yes!”  he whispered, excitedly punching the air with his fists.

His childish outburst over, he sat cross-legged in front of the wilting branches and picked up the largest of his presents and began feeling it, his eager little fingers exploring it in minute detail to ascertain what lay beneath. The others were explored in the same manner. Then began the inventory.

“Fire truck.” he said, placing the largest present in front of him.

The next gift went to his left as he announced, “ Cowboy outfit.” .

“This one’s easy.” he declared of the third gift, laying it on his right, “Eagle Annual.”

Picking up the last of his presents and shaking it he said, “Hmm. Don’t know ’bout this one, but I bet it’s good anyway.” Placing it between his legs, he picked up the largest present again and fondled it. This, his unseen visitor guessed, was his favourite.

She laughed inwardly as she watched him play with the unopened gift, mimicking the sounds of its engine and siren as he pushed it along the carpet. Then suddenly he stopped, his head turning slowly to face the window.

“Hello.” he said, timidly.

This had never happened before, and was so unexpected that she just stared at him in astonishment.

“Are you one of Santa’s helpers?” he asked, “Only, you don’t look like one.”

She looked down at her faded jeans and worn out shoes and jumper, and laughed. “No, I guess I don’t.”

“I think you must be, cos I can see right through you.”

“Can you? Then I guess I must be.”

“You look awfully tall and sad for an elf.

 “Do I?”

“Maybe it’s cos your ears haven’t grown properly.”

“Yes, your probably right.” she said, smiling at his naivety.

“Bet you know what this is.” he said, holding up the smallest gift that had baffled him earlier.

 “I’m sorry James, I don’t.”

“But you must know. You’re one of Santa’s helpers.”

She had to think quickly on her feet now. “Yes, I am, but I don’t wrap the presents. I just help deliver them.”

“Oh! Okay then.” With that he momentarily resumed his play before looking up again asking, “What’s your name?”

Caught completely off guard she struggled to come up with a name befitting an elf, but couldn’t.

“I’m afraid I don’t have a name.”

“That’s silly. Everybody has a name.”

After a brief moment’s silence she replied, “Elves have to earn their name by helping Santa.”

“Oh! Well if I was Santa I’d call you … Little Ears.”

She chuckled. “Well when I see him, I’ll tell him what you said.”

“Are you hungry? I am.” he said, getting to his feet and pulling a Christmas stocking from the mantle piece, tipping its contents onto the floor. “There’s oranges, tangerines, nuts, and some chocolate. Chocolate’s my favouritest. Do you like chocolate?” He held out a small bar to her.

“No thank you. I’m not hungry.”

As he unwrapped the bar she asked, “Aren’t you going to open your presents?”

“Oh, no. I have to wait for mom and dad to get up first. They like to watch me open them.”

“Yes, I suppose they do.” she said.

Do elves get presents?

 “No, they don’t.”

 “What makes them happy then?”

“Watching others open theirs I guess.” she smiled.

Popping two squares of chocolate into his mouth he began studying her intently.

Feeling a little uncomfortable under the intensity of his gaze she asked, “What is it, James? Why are you looking at me like that?”

“I was just thinking about how you feel”

“I feel fine.”

James laughed. “I meant how you would feel if I touched you, silly elf.”

“Oh, I see. Well there’s only one way to find out.” Squatting low, she held out her hand.

He approached her cautiously, reached out  and touched her fingertips.

“You feel like a snowman!”  he said, withdrawing his hand,  “But that’s probably cos you live in the North Pole”

“Now try holding my hand properly this time, James.” she encouraged.

The plucky youngster did as he was asked, only on this occasion his hand passed clean through hers, as she knew it would.

James laughed out loud. “Wow! That was fun. I felt tingly all over.“

“Well now you know how an elf feels.” she laughed.

In truth, she too had felt something: it was the soul of an innocent. In her wanderings she had encountered many souls and each one was different, but there was something about James’ that was quite unique.

“Mom and dad will pee themselves when I tell them I’ve be talking to an elf with little ears. They probably won’t believe me. But when they see you …!

“No, James! You mustn’t tell anyone about me.” she cut in, “It must be our little secret. Besides, most grown ups can’t see us and there aren’t many children who can see us either. Only the very special ones can.”

“Hope I’m one of the special ones.“

“Me too.” she said, adding,  “I’ll make you a promise; that as long as you can see me I’ll come visit as often as I can. How does that sound?”

James was overjoyed at the prospect of having such a special friend and for the next five years their friendship flourished, until one day fate intervened.

After one of her more prolonged absences from James, when she continued her seemingly never-ending search for her former life, ‘Little Ears’ eventually returned to the Lawrence’s. Six weeks had passed and the scene that welcomed her was far from what she had expected. The house was now little more than a burned out shell.

Her desperate search for the Lawrences was proving fruitless. Being trapped in her spirit body made it impossible to follow normal lines of enquiry. Despite this she continued to visit the house during its renovation in the hope of learning anything that might give her a clue as to the family’s whereabouts.  The bombshell was dropped late one afternoon when she overheard a conversation between two workmen at the house.

“It’s a cryin’ shame, Bob.” she heard one say to the other, “An entire family wiped out overnight. I heard they had a little kid, too.”

“Yeah, so they tell me. Don’t know that much about it to be honest.”

“Me neither, but that’s what I heard anyways.”

Devastated by the loss of her only companion,  Little Ears vowed never again to befriend another living soul and left, never to return.

ascension2

Many changes were to take place over the next ten years, one of them being the current New Year’s Eve firework display being held in the city centre. It offered Little Ears a brief distraction from her forlorn circumstances, and to feel like she was alive again, a part of the living mass of humanity she had been ripped from so long ago.

The bronze statue of the cavalier on horseback gradually came into view as they crossed the bridge leading onto the square. By now a large crowd had congregated at its base. Only two minutes remained of the old year. Here and there people were looking at their watches in anticipation.

The choral music from the tannoy finally began to fade out as the time approached. The New Year was now only seconds away as the voice from the speakers, in unison with the crowd, counted down the remaining ten seconds. A spontaneous outpour  of ‘Happy New Year’ erupted from the eager crowd as the heavens exploded in a pyrotechnic display of colours and patterns.

Sitting atop the statue, Little Ears watched the celebrations unfold. From her vantage point she could see the distant horizon and the brightly lit towns and villages that lay between, each illuminated under a canopy of exploding colour. Beneath her the partygoers were in full swing, dancing, singing and carefree.

Though she was no elf, Little Ears could be just as mischievous. One of her favoured party tricks was to put in an appearance in photographs. In the south corner of the square she noticed a small group of friends had congregated to have their picture taken. They had recruited the help of a bystander to take the photo and he was in the process of framing the shot when she put in her début, just as the flash fired. In the blink of an eye, she appeared at the photographer’s side to see her handiwork appear on the digital screen. It was just as she had expected. To the left of the group was a strange, amorphous light.

The young man scratched his beard and looked up. “I’m sorry but it hasn’t come out very well.” he said, apologetically. Deleting the image, he took another snap. This time there was no troublesome artefact. Thanking him, the group moved on.

For no apparent reason the tall stranger began to chuckle to himself. “And when did you learn to do that trick?” he suddenly asked.

Little Ears looked around, convinced he was talking to someone else, but there was no one close at hand to hear him.

He turned and looked directly at her. “Yes, I’m talking to you.” he announced.

Little Ears was flabbergasted and a little embarrassed at having been caught out in her childish prank.

“Cat got your tongue, Little Ears?”

“How do you know my name?” she stammered.

“Because I gave it to you, silly little elf. I know a lot of water has passed under the bridge since we last saw one  another, but I didn’t think I’d changed that much.”

The penny finally dropped.

“James! Is it really you?”

“They call me Jamie these days – but yes, it’s me.“

The urge to hug him was almost overpowering. “You’ve grown so much!”

“That’s what happens to us mortals on this side of the veil.” he joked.

“I thought you’d died in the fire.”

“I would have if mom and dad hadn’t sent me to stay with my gran on the day it happened.”

“I kept visiting from time to time, but when I heard that you’d all died I stopped. There are so many things I have to ask you that I don’t know where to begin.”

“And there are a lot of things that I have to tell you, but this isn’t the right place.” he said, having become aware of the attention he was drawing to himself, “I think we need to find somewhere a little more private.”

As they walked toward the city park, they talked of the night they first met, and of the years of their friendship. Learning that he had become a fire fighter didn’t come as much of a surprise to Little Ears, given his history. What did surprise her, however, was when he told her he had learned at the age of ten that she was no elf, but a spirit.

“But why didn’t you tell me you knew?”

“Well I wasn’t sure whether you knew, and I didn’t want to shock you.” he replied.

“Do you still have that old fire engine you used to play with?”

“Oh, that’s long gone.” he told her, “I have a real one to play with nowadays.”

They both laughed as they entered through the park gates.

“Do you know the greatest gift I got on the night we met?” he asked.

“Wasn’t it the fire engine?”

“No. It was the gift you gave me when we touched.”

Little Ears was puzzled.

“It’s because of that gift that I can help you, move on, Ellen.”

She stopped dead In her tracks. “What did you call me?”

Jamie pulled up. “Your real name is Ellen Carter. You were born on December the ninth, nineteen seventy and died under tragic circumstances in November of nineteen ninety, after running away from home two years earlier.”

“AlI this happened because I was a runaway?“

“No. There’s more to it than that. You were running from something you couldn’t face up to or deal with. You had a serious drug addiction.”

“I was a drug addict?”

“I know you might find that hard to take, given that you no longer suffer from withdrawal symptoms, but once you left your physical body that was to be expected. Running away from home only worsened the situation. Without guidance and help you drifted into crime and other unpleasantness in order to feed your addiction. What I’m telling you I learned from surviving family members and newspaper reports.”

“You’ve spoken to my parents? Where do they live? How are they?”

“I’m afraid both your parents passed over several years ago. The majority of what I’ve learned is from your brother and sisters. Your mother died less than a year after your death and your father three years later.”

Little Ears looked him squarely in the eyes. “Was that because of me?” she asked.

Jamie tried to evade the question. “Does that really matter now?”

“Yes it does!”

“In the case of your father, not so much.” he said.

“And my mother?”

“Well, according to your siblings she died of a broken heart, but …”

“Please, just don’t try to sugar coat it, James!” she cut in, angrily. “If I did such terrible things then I don’t deserve to move on.”

“And I’m supposed to tell your parents this, am I?”

“You’ve spoken to them?” Little Ears seemed genuinely surprised by the news.

“What – you think you’re the only spirit I can communicate with? Of course I’ve talked with them. They’re waiting for you as we speak!”

James took a calming breath before continuing. “Look, the only reason you’re still here is because you’re punishing yourself for what you did. The trauma of your death and the heartache you brought upon your family were just too painful for you and so you wiped them from your memory. But there’s a small part of you that still seeks forgiveness and peace.”

Seeing her demeanour was calmer, Jamie motioned her to follow, leading her deeper into the park.

“Tell me how many spirits you see in the park,” he instructed.

“There aren’t any. Just me.”

“If you could see with my eyes you’d know how wrong you are. There are actually quite a few.”

“Then why can’t I see them?”

“For the same reason they don’t see you or any of the others for that matter. It’s part of the torment they believe they must endure for their earthly sins. The truth is they’re no more in purgatory than I am. What they’re experiencing is a kind of mental projection created by their own minds.”

“But you’re real, this city’s real, what’s happening is real, isn’t it?”

“Of course it is,  but you and others like you are stuck between two worlds; this one and the next level of existence. There are several realms a spirit must visit before it can enter into heaven. Each one serves as a cleansing process for the soul. Those who have led a relatively blameless life can sometimes skip those realms that have nothing to teach them.”

“How do you know all this?”

“Because of the gift you gave me. It eventually enabled me to speak with my spirit guide, and it is through him that I learned these things. I’ve helped many lost souls pass over into the light all because of you. He’s also the one who told me where I could find you.”

“Is that why you’re here now; to help me cross over?”

“Yes. I think you’ve suffered enough Little Ears. But first you have to witness the things you’ve been running from all these years. Don’t be afraid of what you see. They’ll seem very real to you, but they’re only the distant memories of long ago.”

As they resumed their walk, Jamie announced, “We’re almost there.”

Little Ears could feel a panic welling up inside her. “Where are you taking me?”

“To the place of your death.” he replied.

They walked in silence until they reached a grove, a cinder track branching off into the group of trees. Jamie came to a halt. “We’re here.” he said, pointing to a small brick building at the end of the track.

“A public toilet? I died in a toilet?” Little Ears gasped.

Jamie nodded, adding, “You won’t be disturbed by anyone. They were closed down a couple of years back?”

After a brief pause she moved toward the derelict building but quickly came to a halt when she realised Jamie wasn’t following.

“Aren’t you coming with me?”

“I can’t.” he said, The place is locked up. Only you can enter.”

“But I don’t think I can do this on my own.”

He smiled at her reassuringly. “You have to be brave, Little Ears. All you’ll see is a reflection in the ether of your passing – the unveiling of a long suppressed memory and nothing more.”

After a few brief moments she turned her back on him and walked into the grove, passing through the dank cold walls and into the interior.

ascension2

On entering, she felt the cold penetrating damp and began to shiver. Being in spirit form meant that she would normally have been impervious to the physical effects of the natural world. Yet, there was no denying the evidence of her own eyes and senses. She was shivering uncontrollably and goose bumps had appeared on her bare arms.

A large, rectangular skylight, let in the orange glow from the cinder trail lights outside, affording little illumination. Ahead of her lay four cubicles. Their doors were open. They were empty. As she approached she caught the unpleasant smell of stale urine. She walked tentatively toward the first cubicle, and in so doing stepped on a broken tile that cracked beneath her foot. It had given way to the weight of her now seemingly denser body.

Fear began to reassert itself, and she reminded herself that this was merely an illusion projected by the resurgence of fragmented memories onto her surroundings. When she looked down again the tile had vanished.

From out of nowhere came the unexpected sound of sobbing.  She gave an involuntary shudder, and her skin crawled, as though a thousand insects were scurrying across her body.   She stood, frozen to the spot, unable to coax her trembling limbs into action. The pitiable weeping was now more than she could bear.

Please stop!” she cried out, holding her hands to her ears. But there was no respite from the sounds and visions inside her head. She was beginning to remember.

A sharp stinging pain made her wince, and the plaintive crying ceased abruptly. Something warm was trickling down the inside of her arm. Without looking, she knew what is was. Then came the tinkle of glass on tile as a bloodied syringe rolled from the furthest cubicle.

One moment she had been standing in a dilapidated toilet, staring down at the instrument of her death. The next, she was in the back of a brightly lit ambulance as it hurtled through the city streets, looking on as the medics struggled to save her.

This was the first time in years she had seen her full countenance, and it appalled her. What she saw had little in common with an eighteen-year-old. Emaciation and years of self-abuse had finally taken their toll.

“My God! What have I done to myself?” she murmured. “How could I let myself sink so far?”

Suddenly, the monitor she was attached to began to beep loudly.

“Christ” We’re losing her!”  the attending medic called out to his partner.

In the blinking of an eye, Little Ears found herself hurtling through a dark tunnel toward the sound of childish laughter. She  exited into broad daylight,  recognising instantly the group of teenagers congregating around an ice-cream van outside the school gates, the place where it all began.

She also recognised the cocky eighteen-year-old ice-cream vendor, with the shock of curly red  hair that ran to his shoulders.  His liking for young girls was well-known to those who had fallen for his obvious charms. They were drawn to him like moths to a flame. Capitalising on his notoriety, in ways his employers were unaware of,  he supplemented his meagre wage by selling small wraps of cannabis to his more than willing customers. Like many of her peers, Little Ears was about to be seduced into his web of deceit.

As the group drifted back into the school yard only one female remained. Little Ears watched as they chatted for a while before he eventually served her. Though she could not recall the exact details of the conversation, she knew that before leaving he’d made a date to meet her at the local carnie that weekend, a rendezvous that would alter her life in ways she could never have imagined: she would become a woman and smoke her first ‘spliff’ at the age of fifteen.

She wondered if she had known back then of her addictive nature whether she would have taken him up on his offer but she hadn’t and there was no way of turning back the clock.

She moved forward through time on an emotional rollercoaster of sadness and regret, witnessing her first run in with the law, the anguish of her parents, the rows and upsets she caused within the family, the lies and deceit, and  her increasing need to find a better ‘buzz’, and the debasing lengths she went to in order to attain it.

Though remorseful of her acts, she no longer hated herself, and understood for the first time that she had been the victim of the greed of others and her own adolescent immaturity. Weakened by her dependency she could not overcome it as she grew into adulthood. Now  she  had to return to the place of her death to witness her ultimate act of selfishness.

In the half-light of the toilet, blinking the tears from her eyes, she stared at the empty syringe lying at her feet, then into the cramped cubicle where her inert body lay wedged between the toilet bowl and wall. Round her left arm was a tourniquet. Directly beneath it a rivulet of blood tricked down from the collapsed vein where the needle had been inserted, and  suddenly she remembered the terrible choice she had made.

Sinking to her knees, she wept, “I’m sorry for everything I did, for all the hurt and pain I caused to everyone and myself.”

Looking up through the skylight she begged, “I just want to go home now.”

A sudden burst of radiant light cut through the darkness, warming her face. It was intensely bright yet did not hurt her eyes. An overwhelming feeling of love reached out to her from within, calling her, bidding  her to follow. Then slowly she began to rise.

Jamie looked on at the delicate, golden lit form as it ascended into the heavens, to be lost amid the pyrotechnic display. As he made his way  along the cinder track  a familiar voice whispered out to him, “Thank you, James. I hope your New Year will be as happy as I feel right now.”

He stopped and smiled. Pulling up his collar against the cold he whispered, “Happy New Year, Little Ears.”

 Dedication

I am honoured to dedicate this story to my dear friend Ellen (‘Zen’) Connolly whom I have known only for a few brief months. She has faced adversity and hardships throughout her life and yet has maintained a positive attitude throughout. Her infectious  sense of humour remains relatively undented and lifts the spirits of others less fortunate. I consider myself lucky to have encountered  such a giving and friendly soul.

‘Yet In Thy Dark Streets Shineth’

A Christmas tale

Young Danny Braithwaite had but one thought on his mind as he sprang from his bed and dashed to the window. ‘This time.’ he thought, excitedly drawing back the curtain. A harsh white light invaded the bedroom, chasing the sleep from his eyes, and he let out a jubilant “Whoop!”  at the magical transformation that had taken place overnight. He had waited almost an entire year and, at last, the snows had arrived.

“C’mon young’n!” he urged, shaking his brother violently from his slumber. “It’s been snowin’. Let’s get ready and go out to play.”

Alan, two years his junior, pulled the covers over his head and grumpily told him to ‘Nick off ‘, adding that it was far too cold to get out of bed. Then, suddenly, the import of the message struck home.  “Snowin’!” he shrieked, sitting bolt upright.

“Yeah! Look – it’s as deep as anything”.

Alan scrambled to the window, blankets in tow. “Cor! Look at that. It must have snowed all night to get that deep.”

“What’s going on in there?” a familiar voice called from the adjacent bedroom.

The celebrations came to an abrupt halt. “Er, nothin’ mam.” Danny sniggered, “Where just gettin’ ready to go out.”

“Not until you’ve had your breakfast, you’re  not. And besides,” she continued, “it started snowing last night, so I want you both properly dressed.”

“Yer know what that means, young’n.” sighed Danny, “Before we get out of here, she’ll have us done up like Eskimos.”

That morning the conversation at the breakfast table was animated. Alan was helping himself to his third spoonful of strawberry jam, which he dolloped into his porridge and swirled around until a glutinous pink mass stared up at him from the bowl. Danny was in the throes of a protracted argument with his sister Carol, the eldest of the trio, over whose Christmas presents would occupy the sofa the following morning. In the midst of their dispute an innocent question brought everything to a shuddering halt.

“Mam – what’s the ‘Big C?”

Every eye was now trained on the youngster, as he noisily sucked the dregs of porridge from his tablespoon.

Mary’s face blanched as she slowly lowered the coffee cup from her lips. “What do you mean, love? Why do you ask?”

“‘Cos Ricky Pinder said he heard his mam and dad talkin’ about me dad, and they said he had the ‘Big C,”

“Did they now!” she snapped, her face turning an angry shade of red. “Well you just take no notice of anything they have to say, sweetheart.” Sipping the last dregs from her cup, she rose to collect the breakfast dishes from the table. It was then she noticed that her daughter had become very quiet and seemed preoccupied with her thoughts.

Carol was fourteen and was fully aware of the situation concerning her much missed father. When he had first been admitted to hospital she and her brothers had been allowed regular visits but, as his condition worsened, only the adults were permitted to see him – a decision which she had found unbearably cruel given that he would not be with them for very much longer. Tears welled up in the corners of her eyes as she pondered a life without him.

“Alright kids.” Mary chirped, “Seeing as how it’s Christmas Eve, why don’t you each write a note to Santa telling him what you want.”  She knew, of course, that Danny and Carol were almost past the age of innocent belief, but this was a family tradition and besides, there was still the youngster to consider.

As she had hoped, Carol’s sombre thoughts were soon distracted as they each took up pen and paper and began writing in earnest.

The task completed, they folded their sheets and ceremoniously burned them on the  fire, the premise being that the smoke from the ashes would somehow be carried to the North Pole where they were reliably informed Father Christmas would, in some undisclosed manner, read them and fulfill their wishes.

Danny was first to be ready and waited impatiently as his mother dressed the youngster. True to his earlier statement, she had ensured that each of them was suitably attired for the wintry climate. They had no sooner left her sight when off came the balaclavas and scarves, and an energetic snowball fight ensued. As it  progressed so did the number of their group until, at length, it seemed as though an entire army of children were fighting a pitched battle at the end of the street. Eventually, the group filtered down to a mere handful and it was suggested that better fun could be had on the neighbouring pit-heap.

The ‘heapy’, as the boys were wont to call it, stood almost fifty feet in height and had a broad, evened top that stretched off into the distance towards the pit-head, creating a plateau-like effect which the boys put good use to as their personal playground. In their time it had served a multitude of purposes. Today, however, it would be employed as a gigantic slide form which they would propel themselves on remnants of conveyor belting, hurtling at breathtaking speeds down the icy covered slopes.

With boundless energy and screams of delight they descended the south-facing slope, amid flurries of freezing snow, to the farmer’s field below. After an hour or two their youthful exuberance eventually gave way to the cold and hunger and so it was decided they would all go home for dinner, but return later to continue their adventure.

After a hearty turkey dinner, followed by freshly baked apple pie and custard, Mary informed the children that she would be visiting their father later that afternoon, and that they would be staying at uncle Tom’s and aunt V’s until she returned to collect them.

For Danny, in particular, the idea of spending Christmas Eve with his aunt and uncle was an appealing one. They were a childless couple who lavished attention on the children whenever the opportunity arose.

True to form, Tom greeted them with a cheery smile and proceeded to pull from behind their ears of each of them, much to their amazement and glee, a fifty pence piece which he deposited into their eagerly waiting hands.

tree2

On entering the living room they gasped in admiration. Dominating one corner was a brightly lit Christmas tree, bedecked with all manner of ornamentation, and surmounted by a glistening star of silver. From the four corners of the ceiling to its centre were draped richly coloured streamers of green and red. An advent calendar, its tiny windows peeled back, hung from the centre of the fire breast, flanked on either side with a wreath of holly. The entire room had been lovingly decorated in a multitude of effects to delight and stimulate the senses. Only when the house lights were dimmed and the multi-coloured tree lights switched on was their true effect fully appreciated by the children.

Within half-an-hour of Mary’s departure Alan suddenly announced; “I’m hungry!”

“You’re always hungry.” his sister declared.

Veronica looked up. “I think that should do it.” she said, applying the final strokes of the brush to the niece’s fine auburn hair. “There’s some cherry pie due out the oven. Would anyone like some?”

A chorus of  ‘Yes please’ went out from the children, followed by a grunt from their uncle who was otherwise occupied showing off his latest feat of legerdemain to an appreciative audience of two.

“There’s no such thing as real magic!” Carol declared, defiantly. “Nobody can do real magic.”

Danny was becoming increasingly tired of his sister’s ill-tempered moods and was about to say as much when Tom intervened.

“Oh, and what makes you say that?” he quizzed.

“Because there just isn’t.” came the terse reply. “If people could do real magic, then wishes would come true; but they don’t. They don’t come true, no matter how hard you try.”

She was now almost at the point of tears when her aunt entered laden with the food and drink.

“You know,” Tom said, between mouthfuls of freshly baked cherry pie, “wishes can come true; can’t they love.”  He turned to Veronica and smiled a knowing smile. She, in turn, smiled, the corners of her mouth accentuating her dimpled cheeks.

“Alright then.” she relented, “If you must.”

It was then he announced, “We’re going to have a baby!”

Veronica coughed loudly.

“Well – that is -” he corrected himself, “aunt V’s going to have a baby. Soon you’ll have a new cousin to play with. So you see,” he said, turning to his niece, “some wishes do come true.”

Carol wanted to believe with all her heart that somehow things could be made different simply by wishing it; that by some magical process the love she had for her father was strong enough to overcome the illness that kept them apart. In Danny and Alan too a longing for their father began to stir, engendering cherished memories of Christmas’ past.

Tom rose from his chair and moved to the window. He gazed out at the snow-capped roofs and the streets beyond. He, too, missed his brother and sniffed back a single tear which threatened his composure.

Quite unexpectedly, the phone rang. V was the first to answer it, and after listening for a few seconds she called out to Tom. “You’d better take this.” she said, her hand shaking as she handed him the receiver. “It’s Mary.” she whispered.

With an awful sense of dread he put the receiver to his ear and turned his back to the children. The first sound he heard was that of his sister-in-law’s weeping. Then came the words. “It’s Jim; he’s …”

“Oh God! Not tonight of all nights.” he interrupted, slumping into the nearest chair.

By now the children were aware that something was wrong and Carol began to whimper.

“No, no! You don’t understand. Jim’s in remission. He’s getting better.”

“But I thought there was …”

“No hope?” she cut in. “We all did, but that’s not the queerest thing, Tom. Jim told me he’d had a curious dream this afternoon. He said he’d dreamt that three tiny fireballs had entered through his closed cubicle window, and that as he watched each of them turned into a sheet of paper that fluttered onto his bed. He recognised the handwritings on them as belonging to the children. It was the very same letters they had written to Santa this morning, Tom; I’m sure of it.”

“But what makes you so sure?”

“Because of what they’d written. Ask them what they put in their letters, Tom, and I’ll bet it was ‘Dear Santa, all I want for Christmas is my daddy back.’

Tom did as requested and was stunned at their replies.

Later that night, as a fresh fall of snow gently descended over a peaceful village, Carol, Danny, Alan, and their aunt and uncle huddled contentedly around the tree, each knowing that something truly magical had taken place. It turned out to be a Christmas that neither of them would forget in the years to come.

Planetary Exploration: Latest Update on Mars.

The Secrecy Agenda: A Turnabout?

David Calvert.

On September 29, 2011 the European Space Agency (ESA) announced that their orbiter spacecraft has discovered that the Martian atmosphere is “super saturated” with water. This is an extraordinary move on their part because of the secrecy agenda that has surrounded the Mars exploration programme from its earliest inception.  Thanks to J.P. Skipper and other like-minded individuals, evidence began to emerge that all was not right with the data being fed to the media and, indeed, to many of NASA’s and JPL’s scientists.

 Irrefutable Evidence.

Mars water vapourAccording to previous data, Mars’ atmospheric water vapour is supposed to be an infinitesimal 0.3%, as opposed to that of Earth’s 1.00%. This image clearly shows this not to be the case. Nor is this image the only one of its kind. There are many images showing clouds of water vapour in the martian atmosphere such as the one below taken by the Phoenix lander from the surface of Mars and reported on by Skipper on March 28, 2009, Report #160.

Click on the link below to see an accelerated movie taken by the Phoenix Mars Lander of Martian Arctic clouds in motion.

 http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/phoenix/images/press/16006-animated.html

From the foregoing observations it is made abundantly clear that academics and the scientific communities need to put on their thinking caps  and seriously re-evaluate their data.  This also applies to the media types who, for whatever reasons, have failed in their responsibilities to broadcast such momentous discoveries to the public at large.

Why is the discovery of a “super saturated” martian atmosphere so  momentous I here you ask?  To quote Norman Horowitz, Viking’s principal investigator, ‘… Without liquid water, life as we know it cannot exist …”  Since it is  now quite obvious that liquid water is present on Mars the odds of finding life have increased tremendously. To see just how prevalent life is on the supposedly dead world you are invited to click on the link provided here for J.P. Skippers Master Evidence  Directory.  http://www.marsanomalyresearch.com/evidence-directories/9-master/master-directory.htm

I will assume that by now you have read at least one of Skipper’s reports from the above link and have checked out the official image source links to determine that the images really are as Skipper received them from NASA, et al, and are now asking yourself  how such earth shattering information could have been withheld from the public for so long, and why the scientists appear oblivious of it.

Here is Skipper’s take on it:

Scientists, Where are You?

http://www.marsanomalyresearch.com/general-directories/commentary/48/48-scientists-where.htm

What is really going on?

http://www.marsanomalyresearch.com/general-directories/commentary/33/whats-going-on.htm

I trust the above sites have given you insights into the history and methodology of secret agendas and how they work, and why the scientific community appear incapable or unwilling to rock the boat with regards to it.

So why, after so many decades of deception, have NASA, JPL,  ESA, and other official bodies suddenly elected to ‘drip feed’ us with the truth regarding Mars exploration? I will leave you with an edited version of  J.P. Skipper’s speculations on the subject.

“The only thing I’ll observe is that obviously the academic and science communities will now be needing to do some very serious reevaluation of their Mars science and it is also nice for this work to be the recipient, even if off-handed and indirect, of this kind of validation. So in moving on my reporting here will be a combination of presenting some corroborating visual image evidence to this admission as well as a fair amount of speculation on my part associated with its wider implications.

Of course I doubt that this official release will get much wide-spread media attention here the USA anywhere near worthy of it but maybe I’ll hopefully be wrong about that. We’ll see. Remember now that water equals life! So obviously this “super saturation” terminology has all kinds of implications for the possible presence of Mars water and the life that it logically might enable. So here we’ll be going deeper with more speculation than is normal from me to try and help fit this information into a wider context.

In my opinion, the truth is that the world-wide black ops and secrecy agenda types so deeply involved in space exploration have in general been trying for years now via more subtle methods to jar the academic and science communities involved in that exploration into breaking their conditioning that the secrecy types are themselves significantly responsible for putting on them via inaccurate but key raw science data for decades.

Why? Well I suspect it’s because the secrecy super computer models have been predicting the imminent collapse of secrecy suddenly with little warning if things aren’t changed. That would likely then result in a major prolonged emotional flap that would in turn result in much mud-slinging and secrecy head rolling if there is no counter measure plan of intervention on secrecy’s part. Make no mistake about it, any sudden uncontrolled revelation like that not under secrecy braking control is most definitely not good from the secrecy point of view because it stands a good chance of getting out of control, drawing them and their past practices out in the open, and putting them at personal risk.

The trick is to get this psychological turn around in shaking off the conditioning to happen first in the academic and science communities. This will provide secrecy with the opportunity to influence smaller more manageable numbers of people who are already conditioned to respect and accept that control. This will in theory minimize any damage to secrecy.

So, from the secrecy point of view, the academics and scientists need to do an about-face and come to conclusions contrary to the present accepted manipulated consensus. However, it must appear that they’ve arrived at this slowly on their own rather than go through it suddenly leaving them floundering, upset, and looking for someone else to blame other than themselves. If the process is more gradual and thereby subject to elements of secrecy braking control, it will consist of at first a few scientists coming on board and then their trying to convince their peers based on the “new” evidence who will in turn increasingly try to convince NASA and JPL leadership that something is wrong and must be reconsidered in the research.

Then secrecy leadership will gradually after some calculated resistance allow themselves to be convinced by the growing numbers in the science and academic communities that the public of course places its faith in because of their “credentials.” At that point, I suspect their plan is that everything will be good because we’re now all perceived to be in the same revelation boat and the academics and scientists can be pleased with their enlightened selves for having led the way. Even if some come to suspect that all have been manipulated, they will not publicly acknowledge it for fear of also harming their own credibility in the process.

If this process doesn’t go just exactly according to plan and the secrecy agenda starts seeing too much public heat coming their way as the planning unfolds, anticipate that they will publicly grow suspicious that they too may have been manipulated and were perhaps a little too “innocent” and trusting of the accuracy of the incoming exploration science data and a little too trusting of the computer modeling processes itself. After all, who could have anticipated that someone not us (shift) was manipulating and corrupting the raw incoming research data? Again, with those adjustments made, we’re back to all being in the same revelation boat but now everything is okay because we’ve all learned and we’re the wiser for it.

http://www.msss.com/moc_gallery/m07_m12/images/M07/M0703605.html http://ida.wr.usgs.gov/html/m07036/m0703605.html

Of course for such a plan to be successful it will have to ignore any reality that the space exploration research that has been released for public consumption so far is massively manipulated and has been so for decades reaching deep down into the university systems conditioning the future of science that is now our present. That inconvenience clearly demonstrates the intent somewhere on our side of things to manipulate, hide, and alter perception of the real research information.

Note also that it logically demonstrates that the real science research data and its real content hidden from public view does exist somewhere. The presence of this manipulation in the raw data means that someone on our side is fully aware of that real content and its power to disrupt and has chosen secrecy over openness. That includes knowledge of the presence of any others not us that they may wish to plead ignorance of as the plan develops and shift blame to in a false flag scenario if needed. To understand secrecy, you have to be able to think like them even though you may feel a bit dirty in the process.

Secrecy requires compartmentalization within its ranks to be effective and they are not a homogenous group to begin with. That means that decision-making extending from the top down often looses something in the transition. For example, those at mid levels are often accustomed to operating on their own in cells and their individualities can modify top decisions received. That in turn sometimes means that what actually happens is not exactly what was intended by the top. This problem is especially acute if that something is new and contrary to the old ways the rank and file are historically accustomed to.

The net result can be a mixture of actions that on the surface appear inconsistent with each other. For example, as per my book of evidence, the official visual MGS MOC science data released in early year 2000 is, although heavily obfuscated, actually at the same time sprinkled with small amounts of surface water evidence in a liquid state as well as vast forest evidence not all of which has been successfully obfuscated. The number of these cannot be adequately explained just by secrecy mistakes, incompetence, or my own judgment blunders.

I suspect that at some point in the past the secrecy top decision makers came to the conclusion that a gradual transition which they can try to control is the way to go. This is represented by number of surface water and bio-life discoveries made in the MGS MOC data time period as well as the subsequent MRO, Phoenix, and now ESA data. I also suspect that this conclusion of theirs was partially motivated by their perception of alien presence intent on riding the wave of coming change that we can all sense on the wind and their likely communicated determination to put a stop to any false flag tactics designed to deflect the change into easily predictable war, dying, and concentration of power into just a select few secrecy types.

It was into this developing scenario 11-12 years ago that my own investigative work made entry and survived even if it did meet with resistance and problems likely mostly generated by lower/mid level secrecy types not fully under control by the top decision makers who are themselves not fully agreed. I suspect some of the top-level thought to allow work like mine and others to continue in order to try and take advantage of it to hopefully help them in the process of jarring the academics and scientists into breaking with the past conditioning and hopefully beginning to think at least a little for themselves.

Unfortunately for them and for us, the higher education academic and science community consensus types have proved a very hard nut to crack partially because of the effectiveness of the past conditioning, inaccurate information, and the almost complete dependency now on computer modeling rather than mixing it in with sufficient independent thought. Also, partially because of egos refusing to admit errors in judgment and the ease with which they’ve been manipulated and scammed.

The truth is that little tid bits of truth as to the real atmospheric conditions on Mars are scattered throughout the official space exploration science data dating at least back into the time of the MGS MOC data. Question that? Note the visual evidence in the MGS MOC derived images included here in this report. Also, remember that visual clouds in the Mars atmosphere represent water vapor. You should know that the Mars atmosphere is supposed to be 95.32% carbon dioxide (CO2) with only a very tiny 4.68% shared by every thing else. In fact, Mars atmospheric water vapor is supposed to officially be only an infinitesimal .03% as compared to a full 1.00% in Earth’s atmosphere.

http://www.msss.com/moc_gallery/e07_e12/images/E09/E0900466.html http://ida.wr.usgs.gov/html/e09004/e0900466.html

It’s good to be cautious but not blind. In addition to the images above, take a look at my Report #162 as well as Report #160 for more visual insights into the Mars water vapor atmospheric conditions situation. Incredibly, in Report #160, there is even a link to an accelerated video developed by NASA/JPL themselves associated with the time of the Phoenix Lander data to visually and actively push the concept of water vapor in the Mars atmosphere and push it hard.

However, the seemingly hard-headed and clueless scientists just can’t seem to grasp it even after officially being pushed at formal level and not just by independent researchers like me. Why? Because the scientists think they know that the Mars atmosphere at that infinitesimal .03% just will not allow it. After all, their computer models, thought to be objective, confirm it. Further, they know that NASA and JPL have been historically against this kind of recognition and guess who pays many of their salaries. Therefore is just can’t be regardless of the visual evidence or who presents it!

Remember, this kind of inaccurate older raw basic .03% water vapor data, that the new ESA Mars atmosphere super saturation release is so contrary to, is what is being fed into the scientist’s computer models. With generations of scientists being exposed to inaccuracies like this for so long accepting it as consensus truth and Mars rover images for example confirming nothing but the appearance of desolate dry sand and rock conditions, perhaps you can begin to understand how the academic and science communities can blindly peer following peer dismiss visual evidence to the contrary.

As you can begin to see in my previous reports linked here, the evidence of water vapor in the Mars atmosphere is not new at all as it has been a part of the visual exploration raw science data that has been subtly telling us of this for years, at least for any that can be objective. The only thing that is new is at last the now incredibly blunt revelation at official level of this super saturation aspect making atmospheric water vapor on Mars now ultra obvious. In other words, the problem isn’t with the evidence but with the highly educated (conditioned) human psychology determined not to see it.

Why do they not see it? In my opinion, it is because there is nothing good incentive wise in it for them to do so. No matter how one cuts it, a truth like this means a black eye for them. It always leads back in an evidence chain to them as being too gullible in not asking the tough questions to start with and allowing themselves to be manipulated so easily. In other words, again it is an ego/psychological thing. If leadership like NASA and JPL would just accept responsibility, that might take the pressure (blame) off of the general academic and science communities allowing them to see it better and quicker. However, for the leadership types, it’s a survival thing and so there you see the dilemma.

Remember the official reporting of dust storms that essentially temporarily blanked the bulk of the Mars globe obscuring it from view? Now that ESA tells us that the Mars mid level atmosphere is super saturated with water vapor, it’s easier to understand that very likely the “dust” concept was a misdirection orchestrated by the secrecy agenda. It should come to us as I’ve previously reported before that obscuring storms officially identified as dust has the same look to them as water vapor clouds when viewed from the imaging distances involved. In other words, it’s a clue.

One can perhaps understand the academic and science communities ignoring an upstart independent like me but official releases like this from a respected organization like ESA? Now I suspect that many of us know that ESA is in large part an extension of NASA and JPL. Therefore such a release would not happen without NASA and JPL’s approval. However, the lack of attention this is likely to get in the USA media demonstrates just how deep the past “higher education” conditioning is leading into very inflexible human behavior including at both science and media levels. Still, the bottom line is it’s okay you academics, scientists, and media, the official message is clear! IT IS OKAY TO SEE WHAT IS THERE, SO GET ON WITH IT! YOU NEED TO WAKE UP NOW!

Smaller more subtle clues in the data like 11-12 year old visual examples presented above have failed to jar the academic and science communities out of their conditioning, now the secrecy agenda is stampeding a bit by dual releases within a few weeks of each other confirming the presence of possible Mars salt (assumption) surface water in a liquid state and then this newest revelation of a super saturated Mars mid level atmosphere. Scientists, what do they have to do, spell it out for you in GIANT CAPITAL LETTERS or smack you? Surely you’re smarter than that, conditioning or no! Think beyond your computer models! Start for example by looking at the verifiable visual evidence here in this and previous reports.

Let me make it clear, this last official release of Mars super saturated atmospheric water vapor is most definitely a game changer, depending on the targeted psychologies involved, and really risky business from the secrecy point of view. They may have done this release through ESA in case they need to try and sacrifice them and their credibility if the going gets too rough with such a bold move but I don’t think any of that will happen. The conditioning is just too deep. In my opinion, the secrecy types are getting very frustrated with the academic and science communities not picking up the ball and running with it when they want them to and in the manner they want them to.

Worse someone who isn’t us may be watching and judging all this poor human behavior. Sound like I’m going too far with that? If so, you need to understand that the secrecy agenda on our end would not deviate so from the old tried and true secrecy and delay tactic’s of the past unless they are feeling very pressed for time and “pressed for time” is a key piece of information here. I suspect their stampeding a bit may be the result of someone else’s implacable agenda playing out here and their finally fully realizing it. Logically I suspect the time of change is now just about upon us and we are about to learn some earth-shaking truths in the months and year or two ahead during which time the old will fall away and new will replace it.

Let’s consider some speculation that might test this same human behavior of reluctance in you and I. For example, the planet Earth we think is about 4.5 billion years old. The accepted general consensus is that man has been here for around 200,000 years with lots of disagreement on that and civilized for only the past 8000-9000 years with more disagreement on that and of course in our diversity we are found in plenty on every continent.

On the other hand, it appears that dinosaurs dominated Earth for roughly an incredible 160,000,000 years with that species also on every continent all around the planet and the most diverse land species ever with many being bipedal. We know that the principle of adaptive evolution does exist whether it explains our presence here or not, yet we are to believe that dinosaurs occupying every portion of this planet and super diverse also with bipedal adaptations did not develop beyond the primitive vegetation and meat chomping on each other animal stages of life in the 160,000,000 years available to them? It’s a tenant supported by the Earth’s fossil record that we’re known to have discovered so far.

Despite the fossil record, I find that hard to swallow. Why? Because I can think and I say it is something that needs to be questioned and alternative paths explored.

But, that’s not the point I’m trying to make here in this speculation. What if we were to learn in any coming change that what really happened was that the dinosaur species still occupies and dominates Earth in a different more original time line and that the past, present, and future we experience here represents a time line purposely altered? If a knowledge scenario like this started playing out in the coming change, would it cause you a problem? That question is my point.

In speculation, it’s the same with Mars and other planets as well as space itself. What if we learn that we have been heavily manipulated on so many different levels of perception? What if we learn that Mars has an atmosphere breathable to Earth humans with tolerable temperatures and water in a liquid state scattered all around that planet’s surface as well as vast amounts of life taking advantage of it? What if we learn that someone else with advanced technology is on Mars claiming it as their home and possession by right of long occupation?

What if such revelations in a chain reaction results in the realization that life is everywhere including on the other planets in our system as well as even our own Moon that someone else claims by right of long occupation? What if we learn that space itself around us is full of life, some of which might be hard for us to understand. What if we learn that we share this planet Earth with someone else not us and with an older claim? Ask yourself the question, is it too much or can you adapt?

In my opinion, although we may not fully recognize it yet, posterity will recognize this NASA/JPL/ESA admission as a turning point in our Earth human development history. It is a potential door of chain reaction knowledge that is just starting to open and what we Earth humans will eventually in the years ahead be facing as we dive down deeper into new knowledge that will be earth-shaking to so many of us because of our past isolation. It may be that in such a testing we’ll be like the current academics and scientists that can’t see the atmospheric water vapor for the clouds in the sky?

Once this door of knowledge is opened, it cannot be successfully closed again to shut off the content. It’s like eating from the forbidden tree of knowledge. Once done, simplicity is gone along with the ignorance of isolation. On the other hand, how can a race or an entity progress if not challenged with new things previously insufficiently considered? The question is do you want to progress or stagnate? Each of us must decide.

In my opinion, this bold but risky to secrecy move to at last reveal Mars super saturated atmospheric water vapor and opening that door, even if it is designed to preserve secrecy as a survival move, is welcome. It demonstrates that at least someone somewhere in the shadows is thinking rationally and recognizing the real problem, that it is with our own human behavior, and like it or not that we are all in the same boat as a race. However, it also demonstrates that someone better in the know that we are is perceiving by taking this much risk that time is either up or just about up and any time for delay is essentially over.

Now I realize that some will be offended by so much meandering speculation on my part in this report over that of my normally more reserved style. I do regret that. However, in the last 11-12 years of working in this field, one cannot help but develop a feel for its intricacies and implications. I’ve decided to share some with you here because of the importance and implications I perceive of this particular Mars water vapor revelation and where it may lead.

Just remember that most of this except for the visual atmospheric water vapor evidence is just one person’s opinion and perception. You must decide any degree of merit or lack of it for yourself.”

Author’s Comments Update.

Since the recent release of  NASA’s extraordinary revelation concerning Mars’ super saturated  water atmosphere There has been little to no media information concerning it. I find their silence on this matter remarkable to say the least, given that such a revelation is potentially world-changing in its implications.

Has the world’s media suddenly become hyper-cautious about what it prints or airs? I don’t think so. In the past they have shown little or no regard for what they have disseminated and the lives and reputations they have damaged along the way.

Come on guys! What’s holding you back?  This information has come from an official body, and is not the ramblings of some deluded conspiracy theorist. It’s time to step up to the plate.

Singapore Ghost.

Ghost Sighting at Orchard Road

David Calvert

A video, purportedly taken on a mobile phone and showing the figure of a female apparition, was posted to me by Karen Han from Ghosts, Hauntings and the Paranormal. The video clip was taken in the heart of Singapore’s shopping district , behind the Takashimaya shopping mall. To see video click on link below.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLECzqDwJBs

So what’s your take on this clip: real or fake?  To find out what my take is, read my analysis below Jan’s Testimony.

Jan’s Testimony

[October 5, 2011]

“I was walking home with my girlfriends afer a late supper and chat at  Orchard Road at about 1 am when suddenly witness a lady in white across the road.

She was next to a tree when we saw her. She disappeared then mysteriously appeared ahead a few metres and seemed to be crossing the road but when a passing taxi looks like it was going to hit her… she disappeared again!

We were all so frightened that we couldn’t help but scream and run away. Does anyone know if there was a hit and run accident near the empty plot of land behind Takashimaya in the past during this date?? I thought the Chinese ghost month was already over!  It all happened so fast but our friend caught it on her iPhone and we had to slow down the video to see the ghostly images. I am still shaking as I post this.”

Evidence-Based Conclusion:

After analysing the image I came to the conclusion that it is a probable fake and here’s why:

  • Throughout the entire sequence there is strong evidence of motion blurring, due to the camera phone being hand-held and yet the “ghost” is completely unaffected by the blurring effect. This is impossible if the apparition was real.
  • Jan said they saw a “woman in white” , but no matter how closely I looked I still couldn’t make out enough detail to determine its gender. This of course could be due to the poor image resolution of the camera phone.
  •  She also said that it looked like the taxi was going to hit the ghost, suggesting the apparition had stepped out in front of it, yet I see no evidence in the film to suggest the apparition stepped onto the road.

  • If the ghost was visible to the girls and visible sufficiently enough to be caught on film then how did the taxi driver not see it and take steps to avoid a collision with it?

In order to learn the technicalities of how such a hoax might be perpetrated I contacted feedback@worldnexuspublications.com  Their reply was very informative and corroborated my suspicions. Here’s what they had to say:

“Most mobile phones can export the video and be converted also to popular formats and edited… and replayed and re-recorded with the editing and put back into the phone. The most popular way is to film it on a conventional HD video camera, play it on an HD television (plasma or LED) and record it playing with the phone video. Of course the conventional video footage can be manipulated with all the popular software but, when re-recorded with a mobile phone video it will look even more convincing.”

The email they sent me shortly thereafter simply read:

“Hi David …. definitely a fake …. Thanks.”

UFO TYPOLOGY

Index of UFO Types

David Calvert.

UFOs come in many different shapes and sizes, from the traditional saucer-shaped to the more exotic. They have been witnessed throughout human history and have been photographed, sketched, painted, written about,  filmed, and categorised, yet we are still none the wiser as to their true origins.

The images and brief histories below are just a sampling of what the fledgling UFO investigator might come across in his early studies of the phenomenon. He would, therefore, do well to familiarise himself with the following.

MOST COMMONLY REPORTED UFOs

Saucer-Shaped UFO

saucer ufoThe term ‘flying saucer’ was first coined in 1947 by an anonymous Hearst copy editor, following the sighting of nine UFOs over Mount Rainier on June 24th of that year by Kenneth Arnold. In reality Arnold never described them as flying saucers but was misquoted when he said that they flew like a saucer would when thrown across the water. He wasn’t alluding to their shape but their motion.

kenneth-arnold-ufoThis picture shows Kenneth Arnold holding up a depiction of what he actually saw. Clearly, it is more boomerang-shaped than saucer-shaped.

Cylindrical/Cigar Shaped UFO

Mt washington ufoDepending on the source, this image was shot either in 1870, 1880, or 1896. It was supposedly taken in New Hampshire looking at Mt. Washington. It bears the classic cigar shape seen in the USA during the latter years of the 1880s. A more accurate term to use when describing such objects would be ‘Cylindrical’.

‘Mystery airships’ or ‘phantom airships’ as they became known were reported world-wide in the late 19th century and are a class of unidentified flying object. They are seen as a cultural predecessor to modern UFOs. Some ufologists believe the airships were human-built dirigibles witnessed during test flights. However, no records of any successful flights have ever been discovered from the  period. Cigar and dirigible type craft share many of the same characteristics. It is therefore difficult to separate the two types, although generally the cigar is the larger of the two.

IllinoisTriangle

The triangular UFO, aka ‘flying triangle’ (FT) has  reportedly been witnessed from the 1940s to the present day. However, phenomena consistent with modern-day sightings have also been reported throughout recorded history, using the language of the times. FTs are generally described as enormous, silent, black triangular objects. They are frequently seen at night, hovering or slowly cruising overtly at low altitudes over cities and highways. On each corner of the triangle there are “running lights”. They can be  bright white or pulsing coloured lights. A single light is situated at the centre of the aeroform. This class of UFO is reported as being visible to radar, as in the famous Belgium UFO wave of the 1980s.

Boomerang/Chevron-Shaped UFO.

This picture was taken in Calgary, Canada, on April 8, 2007. The witness described it Calgary ufoas a ‘boomerang-shaped craft’ with ‘discernible structural elements’. It was silent and without a contrail.   On May, 2007, a similar craft was seen in Germany, described as being approximately 80 ft wide and 75 ft high, silver coloured and highly reflective. It had an orange glow at the front and a dome at the rear, along with lights at the bottom. As the witnesses watched, it ‘cloaked’ then uncloaked in a matter of seconds.

More UFO Types

Bell Craft. This is a rare craft and not enough data has been accumulated to give its general configuration.

Bell ufo

Box Craft. This is a rare craft. Box-like appearance, no lights, and silent.

box ufo 2

Conical Hat. This is a comparatively rare craft. One of these UFOs was reliably estimated to be in the region of  200 metres in diameter. Colour is metallic silver, both dull and polished. They appear to vibrate heavily. When moving slowly they seem to jerk or jitter

  conical ufo

Cross Craft. These craft are incredibly rare. Their dimensions seem to vary from jet-fighter size to extremely large. Colours for this UFO vary, but several have been seen with white lights at the cross extremities and red or bright red at the centre, occasionally pulsating. On several occasions smaller, bright orange or green, craft have been seen to join and leave the main craft. The main craft also has the ability to ‘fade’ in its appearance. Electrical disturbances have also been reported with this UFO.

cross1

Diamond-Shaped UFO. The exterior of this craft can be as polished and as dazzling as a mirror in bright sunlight. The range of colours reported for this UFO are from white to black, and just about every colour of the spectrum in-between. Its size range can vary, but the general estimate for it is about 18 ft across and 8 to 10 ft high. There is seldom any noise associated with this craft. Electrical disturbances are connected with it.

diamond ufo

Domed Saucer. Of all UFOs this is the most instantly recognisable. The dome disc shaped craft has a relatively low profiled cupola, and they are generally flat or convex on the bottom. Their size can range from 10-15 ft in diameter, to several hundred or more, and they are generally one of the most common UFOs reported. Colour ranges from a brightly polished metallic silver to a dull aluminium. The flat-bottomed versions of this craft are often darker underneath in a center circular area. Grounded craft have been seen to have retractable landing gear. A characteristic of the domed saucer is that it is surrounded by an ionized atmosphere which gives them a mist shrouded appearance. Their speeds have been confirmed by radar at up to 9,000 mph.

domed-saucer-enlarged-optimized

Double Hat UFO. Dimensions for this craft vary in size from 1 to 30 metres. They have a brightly polished silver colour to a dull aluminium appearance. Flat bottomed saucers are often darker underneath. When seen at night they are solidly lit in red, orange, amber, yellow, blue or blue-violet, and brilliant white, combinations. At night the edges of the craft are indistinct, due to the halo that surrounds them, obscuring their edges. Like the conical hat UFO they can display a jittery or jerky movement. At close quarters these craft can be heard to give off a buzz, hum, or whine.

double hat ufo

Egg Shaped UFO. This type of craft has been witnessed flying with its long axis vertical. Its configurations ordinarily range in the 1-30 meter range. It is also equipped with retractable landing gear. Their sound can be anything from a roar to a hum, buzz, whine or whirr at close quarters. When flying it may have a light swish-of-air sound, or may run silently. It has been witnessed in multitude of colours. The Socorro Landing is perhaps the most famous case of an egg-shaped UFO encounter.

egg shaped ufo

Horseshoe Craft. The terminology used by witnesses when describing this UFO ranges from ‘horseshoe’, ‘magnet’, and ‘U-shaped’, for obvious reasons. What we know of this craft is that its size varies from that of a large airplane to several times larger than a jumbo jet. Its body often appears black and is highly reflective. Its perimeter lighting has been seen to be yellow, yellow-orange and non-blinking. Despite its habit of low-level flight, no sound has been heard emanating from it. This craft does not appear to bank when turning, but rotates, as is common of vehicles of this size.

horseshoe shaped ufo

This is by no means a comprehensive view of UFO types, but merely a sampling of the many types the fledgling UFO student will encounter in their study of this fascinating subject. Omitions from this list include:

Oval Shaped UFOs, Winged UFOs, Flat Top UFOs, Orb/Spherical UFOs, Saturn Craft, Teardrop UFOs, Split UFOs, Morphing UFOs, Pyramid Shaped UFOs, Square UFOs, Train UFOs, and Ring Shaped UFOs, to few.

Hessdalen-esque Electroforms Appear Over Leeds, UK.

The Lynne Eastwood Sighting.

David Calvert

Part # 1

ORBS

foreword

It is not my intention to go into any great depth concerning several orb images taken by Lynne, just prior to her ‘filament’ images, as they have a prosaic explanation which rules out any paranormal explanation. However, I have chosen the best one to illustrate my point concerning their non-paranormal origins.

Brief Analysis.

eastwood7

The larger, brighter orbs that appear in this image, including their smaller counterparts, are caused by water droplets on and near the camera lens. They appear to glow because they are being illuminated by the full moon, visible in the top right quadrant of the picture. Their blurred appearance is because they are outside the camera’s depth of field i.e. out of focus.

The rainbow-like anomaly in the right lower quadrant is being generated by the house and street lighting which is just out of frame. Clearly, there was a very light rainfall in progress when this image was taken. This assumption is corroborated in Pt. #2 evidence. Their spherical appearance is due to the raindrop having reached terminal velocity on its earthward journey. Lynne also pointed out two unusual light sources adjacent to the houses. Initially I took them to be lens reflections, but on closer examination I’m not so sure.

Conclusion: Orbs created by natural environmental conditions.

Part #2 ELECTROFORMS.

 Historical Background

Since the 1930s, possibly earlier, unusual lights have been reported at Hessdalen, Norway. From December 1981 to the summer of 1984 lights were observed about 15-20 times per week. Since then activity has decreased to 10-20 times per year. The Hessdalen light is more often seen as a white or yellow bright light of unknown origin standing or hovering above ground level. Sometimes it can be seen for more than an hour. There are several other types of unexplained lights witnessed in the Hessdalen Valley. Scientific research of the lights began in 1983 and was initiated by Dr. Erling Strand and given the nickname “Project Hessdalen”. In 1998, the Hessdalen AMS automated scientific research station was built in the valley. It registers and records the appearance of lights, such as the one below.

 THE EASTWOOD ELECTROFORMS

 Lynne Eastwood’s Testimony.

“On the 14th September 2011, at 4 a.m., I was awoken from my sleep and felt compelled to go look out of my back dining room window. Goodness knows why or how, but I just had the feeling that was telling me to go look out, and so I did. On doing so I saw a very beautiful sky. It was so beautiful that I went and got my camera to snap some shots of what I could see to show my friends. The camera I used was a basic Samsung D1070/10.2 mp/Zoom 6.18.9 mm.

The flash was off when I took the photos – a full moon affording me the light I needed. As I snapped off the shots I noticed what I thought to be a ‘shooting star’ against the clear background sky. The clouds were receding by now. Without hesitation I made a wish and began photographing it. It was only later, as I viewed the photos, that I noticed that the ‘shooting star’ had changed shape several times. Based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, I had never seen such an unusual sky at such an early hour.”

hessdalen4‘shooting star’. This pic has been lightened and annotated by me for greater clarification.  Please note that the following images are now completely devoid of water droplets – inline with Lynne’s testimony that the clouds were receding. No clouds, no rain. The white arrow  points  out the object in question. At this level of zoom it appears nothing more than an amorphous white smudge. The blue arrow points out an anomalous blue point of light, whereas the green arrows point out anomalous green light sources.

Sequence # 1 This is taken from the same image above and magnified to show definite shape to object. Clearly, this is no ‘shooting star’. The former ‘amorphous white smudge’ appears to have a worm-like or filament-like structure to it.

eastwood3

Sequence # 2 The ‘S’ filament is now in a vertical position, indicating movement.

hessdalen 5

 Sequence # 3

hessdalen6

Note the faint and bright areas in the ‘filament’. These could suggest a single light source’s movement captured in the frame, leaving behind a ghost image of its erratic flight path in its wake.

Sequence # 4

eastwood2.jpg

The ‘filament’ now resembles a long ribbon of light as it streaks erratically through the sky. Highly reminiscent of a light phenomenon captured at Hessdalen, Norway (see below).

hessdalen8Image Comparison

Note the fainter and brighter areas within the ‘ribbon’ and the erratic flight path. They are incredibly similar to those in the above image.

EVIDENCE BASED CONCLUSION

As there was no EXIF data supplied with the photos it is impossible to say for certain what the shutter speed actually was at the time the images were taken. However, if the minimum shutter speed ( 8 secs. )was used when Lynne took her pics one would expect to see blurring of the entire images, but if you look closely at her first shot there is no evidence of this. If the snap was taken at 1/1500 th of a second this would imply that the object was travelling, albeit erratically, at an incredible speed, leaving in its wake a trail of light.

The Hessdalen lights were split into three groups. However, I will deal only with the first two of the group as they have greater relevance to this case:

  1. Small and strong white or blue flashes which could show up anywhere in the sky.
  2. Yellow or yellow-white lights, just over house rooftops, or on the ground. They can be stationary for more than an hour, move slowly around, and sometimes show large accelerations and speeds. They could also appear higher up in the sky.  They mostly travel on a north/south course.

There are commonalities between the Eastwood  images to the Hessdalen phenomenon. They are as follows:

  • In an email Lynne sent to me she said the object was stationary when she first saw it, but then began to move.
  • Blue flashes. In pic 4 for example the blue arrow indicates a blue anomalous point of light.
  • In the same pic can also be seen 2 green points of light
  • The erratic movements of the main object in pic  8, suggesting it is travelling at a high rate of speed.
  •  The majority of the  anomalies appear high in the sky.

hessdalen7This is how one of the green lights appears under higher magnification and with the auto levels fix on. It is much brighter than its surrounds. Might this be a light flash, similar to those also reported at Hessdalen?

Might all these similarities be purely coincidental? It’s possible, but unlikely. For me, there are just too many commonalities for this to be sheer coincidence.

I initially took the two lights below to be reflections from the adjacent houses. However, their shape and relative positions preclude such an interpretation.

It is worth  noting that the Hessdalen lights have been seen to take on various shapes, from ‘bullet-shaped’ to ‘inverted Christmas tree’ shapes.

CONCLUSION: Electroform phenomenon of unknown origin or cause

COMMUNION

COMMUNION

David Calvert

Throughout recorded history dreams have helped shape the destinies of great nations, have been instrumental in expanding self-awareness, and have changed the lives of the great and lowly alike, proving themselves to be both prophetic and powerful. It has been calculated that we sleep away a third of our day on average, and that if we live to the age of 75 we will have slept for an incredible 25 years and dreamt for 10 of them.

Dream Source

Though times and human cultures may have changed, our fascination with dreams has not. In the palace ‘dream halls’ of Japanese emperors – long before the emergence of Buddhism – could be found the Kamudoko, a polished stone bed on which the emperors would lie to seek enlightenment from the gods. And every Roman Legion had a soothsayer – a priest who would be called upon to consult the oracles and shrines. He would interpret dreams to see if the omens boded well. The soothsayer was every bit as important to legionnaires as their weaponry and battle tactics.

Arguably, it was in ancient Greece where dream study truly began to flourish. They erected magnificent ‘dream temples’ solely for the purpose of analysing and greek dream templesinterpreting dreams. Among the philosophers of the time were Aristotle and Plato who believed that man himself was the true source of dreams, and not the gods. Their notions have persisted over the centuries, becoming popularised in the writings of psychoanalysts, Sigmund Freud and Carl Gustav Jung. They also believed that dream content was in some way derived from personal experience – a premise on which contemporary opinion is based.

There are many schools of thought concerning dreams and their interpretation. Freud sigmund freudthought that sex played a significant role in our dreams, because it is a powerful driving force and has an important role in our everyday lives. In our waking lives sex is repressed by social restrictions and conventions. In our dreams, however, there are no such restrictions. Adolescent males frequently experience frank sexual encounters in their dreams. These are commonly referred to as ‘wet dreams’ because they invariably result in orgasm. Jung recognised, however, that other deep desires drove man.

Clinical studies have proven that we all dream, even animals. Rapid eye movements (REMs), the movement of the eyeball beneath the closed lids, are a sure fire sign that an individual is dreaming. Awaken someone during REM sleep and they will instantlyrem sleep study recall their internal visions. REM sleep occurs about five times over and eight-hour period and follows a period of deep sleep. Why then do some people claim they never dream? The answer is twofold. Either they simply don’t remember their dream, or they are being censored because of their content. After all, dreams are a true expression of whom and what we are; including those desires we care not to admit to.

Dream Types

It is now accepted that during dream-sleep all the things we experience seem real to us because the same information transmitters (neurons) in the brain, which process actual waking episodes, are also at work during sleep. At the same time the brain disregards, to a certain extent, real world distractions, making our dream world one of virtual reality.

Lucid Dreams

Nowhere is this virtual reality more striking than in the lucid dream. The lucid dream is as vivid and real as it gets. At some point the sleeper becomes aware they are dreaming. If they continue to dream whilst in this state of awareness called ‘lucidity’ they can control and steer it in whatever direction they choose. Many problems can be overcome by lucid dreaming. Creative people such as writers get their best ideas from dreams. However, ordinary dreams are subject to half-remembered fleeting images and cannot be summoned on demand. The lucid dreamer can call on any scenario they wish, can play with ideas, and combine conscious elements into their dream before allowing the subconscious to take over.

No one knows why spontaneous lucid dreaming occurs. The brain is supposed to be unconscious during sleep. Clearly, something goes wrong that allows a measure of consciousness to take over. People have used this ‘mistake’ of the brain to their advantage by developing techniques to deliberately induce it.

False Awakenings

False awakening dreams are relatively common and are frequently confused with lucid dreams. At some point in our lives we have all experienced a false or multiple false awakening. The alarm wakes you up. You get up, shower and have your breakfast before setting out for work. You may even experience a full working day before you suddenly realise that you are in fact dreaming. Though the false awakening shares the same ‘clarity’ as a lucid dream the difference is that you are unaware you are dreaming and as such do not have the same level of control as in the lucid dream.

Nightmares

Nightmares can be very distressing to individuals. We have all experienced them at one time or another. They happen less frequently in adults than in children and occur during periods of REM sleep, as opposed to night terrors that occur during NREM (nonrapid eye movement) sleep. Nightmares are characterised by certain physiological responses caused by a feeling of fear, such as increased pulse rate and body sweat. There is no single cause for nightmares. Sometimes physical and/or psychological factors are involved in their creation. Feverish illnesses can certainly cause them, as can the medicinal drugs used to combat the illness. Unusual stress or trauma can also bring them on. Other than for an interrupted sleep, and feelings of irritability, anxiety and depression the following day, nightmares very rarely cause physical harm to the experiencer. There are, however, certain successful visualisation techniques that can be used to ‘neutralise’ nightmares. Lucid dreaming is one such technique.

Enactment Dreams

Dreams deal with emotion. However, not all emotion causes dreams. It is unexpressed emotional arousal in the waking state that causes us to dream. For example, a disagreement with your boss, in which you are unable to vent your true feelings of anger toward him, will probably be enacted in a dream. The dream will take the form of a metaphorical scenario that parallels the real-life experience. In it your boss may be symbolised by a terrible ogre whom you attack and vanquish, thus allowing full expression of your anger. If you continue to ruminate angrily over the same issue the brain will try to solve the problem the same way and will create a repetitive dream in order to do so.

Re-enactment and Problem Solving Dreams

The re-enactment dream is among the commonest of all dreams and is said to be caused by the thoughts in our heads prior to falling asleep, suggesting they are pragmatic in nature. Yet dreams do far more than merely reflect life. When viewed from a subconscious perspective even information can be assessed differently.

august kekuleWhat once seemed an insoluble problem for the German-born scientist; August Kekulé became clarified after a dream. He was pondering over the molecular structure of benzine when he dreamt of a snake swallowing its own tail. From this he realised that if the carbon and attached hydrogen atoms formed a ring the problem of the benzine’s structure could be solved. This 19th century discovery eventually leads mankind into the era of the motorcar and aeroplane.

Precognition Dreams

These dreams are as diverse and as complex as life itself and can offer us insights into who we are, into our hopes, fears and problems. Many possess certain logic and can be explained in such terms. However, a small proportion continues to defy scientific rationale.

On October 21st, 1969, in the Welsh village of Aberfan, 140 people died when half a million tons of coal waste swept over them. Among them was nine-year-old, Eryl Mai Jones who, on the previous evening, told her mother of a strange dream she had in which she saw something black cover her school.

Aberfan_Disaster

She wasn’t the only one to predict the disaster. Many others are on record as having done so. Because of it, and several other incidents, several bureaus were established. All were dedicated to collating such premonitions in the hope that one day disasters like Aberfan could be avoided. Unfortunately, they did not prove practical.

Symbolism, Metaphors & Puns

We have seen from the foregoing that there are many types of dreams, each is rich in symbolism that is tailored to meet the individual’s needs. The old adage, “One man’s meat is another man’s poison” is an apposite description when considering how to interpret the symbols in a dream. For example, lightning may engender fear in one person and cause exhilaration and awe in another. Clearly then, it is the dreamers waking life perception of the phenomenon which colours the interpretation of the dream.

One Interesting aspect of symbolism is that of dream metaphors and puns. The term “for the chop”, for example, indicates losing one’s job. Anyone experiencing this unenviable situation might well dream of being beheaded. And being called “as thick as a plank” may cause an individual to dream of carrying around with them a stout length of wood which they are unable to put down. Such dream metaphors and puns are the subconscious’ way of getting a message across to the dreamer in terms they are familiar with.

Contemporary Dream Interpretation

In his landmark monograph The Interpretation of Dreams, Freud emphasised dream analysis as a means to unlocking the unconscious mind, which he suspected were composed of repressed psychological material. Modern-day psychoanalysis dream interpretation, however, has seen a fall in popularity. That not withstanding, there is still a body of literature that supports dream interpretation, and continues to provide an influential therapeutic focus.

human mindAt present, there are two prevailing theories about dreams and their relationship with psychoanalysis: the neurophysiologic theory, and the activation-synthesis theory. Nevertheless, neither of these theories has been fully accepted as yet. The human mind is perhaps the single most fascinating mystery man has ever tried to decipher and may never be fully understood for, like man himself, it is in a constant state of evolutionary change and adaptation.

The Marquand UFO, 1951.

Riverside Resident.

David Calvert.

 Foreword.

marquand ufo 2This grainy photograph was taken only 2-3 months after the now famous ‘Lubbock Lights’ incident in Texas had occurred . Within the space of a year the UFO phenomenon, in all its manifestations, had become a global phenomenon. People from just about every walk of life were seeing strange lights and unusual craft in their skies.

The picture was taken by Guy B. Marquand Jr. on November 23 1951 on a mountain road near Riverside, California. He claimed the object near the skyline was a “flying saucer.” However, a closer inspection of this image has shown certain features which suggest an entirely different explanation.

EVIDENCE-BASED ANALYSIS

U984662ACME

Facts gleaned from visual analysis of above image:

Large head.

large beak.

Large crop.

large wings.

Trailing legs

By now it will have become clear to the reader that this object is actually a bird of some description. But what bird could possibly fit the observations above?  Well, there are one or two other clues that may give you some idea, and they come from the place names of the area as well as business addresses.
